CANADA NIGHT RECEPTION
AT THE INTERNATIONAL HARDWARE FAIR

February 18, 2001, Cologne, Germany.
Hosted by Hardlines in association with Cologne International Trade Shows

Paul Monchamp of Dimensions Retail Systems, Michael McLarney of Hardlines wearing his carnival tie (it was on special at the airport - how could I resist), Greg Dinsdale and Ian Gray of LBMX in London, ON.
Bev Allen, marketing manager of Hardlines and emcee for our Canada Night Reception, joins in a toast with Benita Vasudeva from Maxtech in Kitchener, ON.

Edel Wichmann (centre), Canadian manager of Cologne International Trade Shows, with Michael and Beverly from Hardlines.
(l-r): Marlies Osmers from the New York office of Cologne International Trade Shows, Steve Payne, publisher of Hardware Merchandising magazine (erroneously believing he'll get lucky in Germany), and Edel Wichmann, the Canadian representative for Cologne.

HARDLINES BREAKFAST 2001

More than 165 people joined us for a hot breakfast and an incredible laser light show to kick off the 2001 edition of the Canadian Hardware and Building Materials Show.
l-r: Annette Verschuren and Eric Peterson of Home Depot Canada are hoping their comments about the food stay off the record, as they sit with Jennifer Barber, associate editor of National Home Center News in New York.

"Okay, Mike, for the last time, the guys in red are Home Hardware, the orange guys are Home Depot, God didn't make little green apples - and stop eating your eggs with a spoon." Eugenia Canas, (left) our assistant editor, explains the mysteries of life to our bewildered editor as Nancy Wright, our circulation manager, looks on in amusement.
Mag Ruffman (centre), star of the TV program "A Repair to Remember," with Michael and Bev, is the latest convert to the magic that is Hardlines.
