WINNIPEG — Andy’s Ace Hardware is celebrating its grand re-opening this week in Wikwemikong, Ont., in the Anishinaabe territory on Manitoulin Island. James Manitowabi and his five siblings have operated the 10,000-square-foot store since the retirement of their father, Andrew, in 1997. “We were all put in charge of a different department,” explains James, now responsible for grocery, hardware, and general merchandise. His sister Jennifer is the office and administrative manager, and his niece Shannon is general manager.
