TORONTO — Mill Street & Co., through its subsidiary, The Fastway Group, has entered into a purchase agreement for the acquisition of the business operations of Winnipeg-based North American Lumber Limited. North American Lumber has been providing a broad range of lumber, hardware, and building materials through a chain of building centres in Northwestern Ontario, Manitoba, and Saskatchewan for 110 years. It currently has 11 retail locations with sales of $21 million. North American Lumber is just the latest in a string acquisitions by Fastway in the home improvement space.
