Quebec court OKs Tembec takeover

MONTREAL — The Quebec Superior Court has issued a final order approving Jacksonville, Fla.-based Rayonier Advanced Materials’ acquisition of Tembec, the two companies announced this week. The transaction has already received clearance from U.S. and German authorities, and applications to Canadian federal and Chinese regulatory bodies are pending. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter of this year.
