Saint-Gobain in talks to acquire Glava

PARIS — Saint-Gobain has entered into talks with the founding families and shareholders of Norwegian insulation firm Glava to buy their remaining shares, with the support of the company’s management. Saint-Gobain currently owns 17.08% of Glava’s capital. Glava has two glass wool plants, at Askim near Oslo, and at Stjørdal near Trondheim. It also has workshops producing expanded polystyrene and ceilings.
