Stanley beats expectations in Q2

NEW BRITAIN, Conn. — Stanley Black & Decker reported earnings of $277.2 million, or $1.82 per share, up from $217.5 million ($1.84) the same time last year. At the same time, revenues were up 10.2% to $3.23 billion, compared to $2.93 billion in the previous Q2, exceeding analyst estimates of $3.18 billion. The second quarter results included $8 million in restructuring costs.
